To this day, the gigantic building remains of the former Nazi Party Rally Grounds in Nuremberg's southern districts are a testimony to the megalomania of the National Socialist regime. Covering an area of eleven square kilometres, this was intended as a monumental backdrop for the staging of NSDAP propaganda.
Since 2001, the unfinished Congress Hall - originally intended to hold 50,000 people - has housed the Documentation Centre Nazi Party Rally Grounds. Here, the permanent exhibition "Fascination and Terror" provides information on the history of the party rallies, and unveils them as cleverly devised rituals of Nazi propaganda. In addition, the linked Education Forum offers educational programmes for schools, and groups of young people and adults.
